Procedure:

  1. Add the squeezed garlic and a teaspoon of sour cream to the cream cheese spread, mix and leave to set in the fridge.
  2. Scoop out the avocado core and pit and cut into slices. (If desired, you can also cut into smaller pieces.
  3. Drain the tuna of its own juices, chop the pumpkin seeds and add them to the tuna. Pour a drizzle of pumpkin seed oil over everything and mix.
  4. Cut the rustic baguette in half and then in half after the heart. Spread the cream cheese on the bread and then spoon over the prepared tuna spread. (Here you can drizzle a little lemon juice).
  5. Next, place the avocado slices on top and then add a small spoonful of the sour cream spread to give the sandwich a fresh look.
  6. Drizzle pumpkin oil over the whole.
  7. Offer the wholemeal sandwich as a snack or as a snack.

Štajersko Prekmursko Pumpkin Oil with Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) is an edible unrefined oil produced by pressing roasted pumpkin seeds, which are extracted from pumpkins (Cucurbita pepo) and processed in the region of Štajerska and Prekmurje. It is dark green to red in colour, with a characteristic aromatic smell and taste.
