Renowned Chef comes to the heart of Prlekija;Georges Chihane, which took place at the Kocbek oil mill from 8 to 12 June 2023, treated guests to special pumpkin and pumpkin oil delicacies.
Renowned chef Georges Chihane ย conjured up an unforgettable atmosphere at the Kocbek oil mill. In collaboration with him, we will offer guests a unique opportunity to discover the flavours of pumpkin oil, combined with exquisitely selected dishes, with a local touch and the magic of the Far East.
With a nine-course tasting menu, guests were treated to highly creative dishes and a taste of the finest locally sourced ingredients with the bounty of our green gold - pumpkin seed oil.
Alongside the culinary tasting adventure, guests could sample dishes accompanied by wine from the exceptional Marof wine cellar from Goriฤko.
ABOUT THE CHEF:
Georges Chihane grew up in a family of chefs and is still proudly following in his family's footsteps. He graduated in hotel management in Lebanon and went on to study for a Master's degree in Capitale de la Gastronomie at the Paul Bocuse Institute in Lyon, France. There, he furthered his knowledge of cooking techniques and began his culinary career as a commis chef, where he explored his passion for culinary creativity.
Paul Bakeries soon recognised his talents and invited him to Dubai as Executive Chef for their regional franchise. He went on to gain experience in the Gulf region and opened a number of homegrown concepts in different countries including Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. His current work focuses on managing the culinary development of food distribution, where he is taking the lead as culinary consultant for various hotels and restaurants.
He is a board member of Qatar Culinary Professionals, Emirates Culinary Guild and a certified judge of World Chefs and WACS. He was recently awarded the honorary distinction of Maรฎtre Rotisseur by the iconic Chaines Des Rotisseurs.
